A REALTOR®’s Perspective From Inside The Market
Understanding Yukon real estate requires more than looking at statistics. Every property has a story, every community has its own characteristics, and every buyer or seller has different goals.
Terence Tait has spent more than 14 years working inside Yukon’s real estate market. As the owner of Yukon’s Real Estate Advisers, he has built his career around helping people navigate those differences.
His experience covers residential sales, commercial opportunities, development projects, and pre-sale marketing.
From Automotive Sales To Real Estate
Terence’s career did not begin in real estate.
Before becoming a REALTOR®, he worked in the automotive industry and eventually became a new car sales manager in Whitehorse. That experience taught him how to communicate effectively, understand customer needs, negotiate confidently, and perform in a fast-moving sales environment.
When a friend introduced him to real estate, Terence recognized an opportunity to apply those skills to a market he already knew personally.
The transition proved to be a natural fit.
A Career Built On Experience
Over the past 14-plus years, Terence has completed hundreds of transactions throughout the Yukon.
His clients have included first-time homeowners, experienced buyers, sellers, investors, and developers. Each transaction has added another layer to his understanding of the territory's property market.
His performance has earned multiple top-25 REALTOR® rankings in Western Canada, placing him among a highly competitive group of professionals.
The Development Side Of Real Estate
One of the most distinctive parts of Terence’s career has been his involvement in residential development.
New developments require a different level of planning and strategy. Developers need to understand their market, position their properties effectively, and connect with buyers before and during the sales process.
Terence has contributed to the marketing and pre-sale efforts behind projects including Silver Flats, Aurora Views, Mildred Manor, and The Summit.
His development experience allows him to look at real estate from both sides of the transaction.
A Personal Connection To Yukon
Terence’s knowledge of the Yukon is not something he acquired from a market report.
He grew up off-grid at Marsh Lake and has spent his life connected to the territory. Today, he remains closely connected to the Yukon lifestyle through his family, outdoor interests, and professional relationships.
That local perspective is particularly valuable when clients are trying to understand different communities and property opportunities.
Clear Advice Without The Complication
Terence believes real estate advice should be understandable.
Whether a client is purchasing a first home or planning a large development project, the objective is the same: provide clear information, explain the available options, and help the client move forward with confidence.
His approach combines professional experience with straightforward communication.
